    • Dorothy Ann Marshall, 81, of Xenia, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, January 12, 2009 at Greene Memorial Hospital.

      She was born November 11, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Madge (Williams) Fowler. She was married to Jack R. Marshall on November 22, 1947, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1987.

      Also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jacalyn Slusny; and by three brothers, William Williams, Cecil Williams and Harry Fowler.

      She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always took wonderful care of her family and who will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. She leaves to mourn her passing 6 children, Nancy Hedges, of Wilmington; Linda (Gene) Bowen, of Xenia; Connie DeSantis, of Ft. Myers, FL; Diana Zimmerman, of Miami, FL; Jack C. (Debbie) Marshall, of Washington Court House, OH; and Richard H. (Pam) Marshall, of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren, Matt Hedges, Todd Hedges, Nicole Brown, Teri Venable, Scott Bowen, Michelle Crowe, Kenneth Marshall, Heather Unger, Kelly Marshall, Richard Harley Marshall and Michael David Slusny; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Estella Hall, of West Milton, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2009 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Rev. John Lockwood officiating. Burial in Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown.

      Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.. [1]
