      Dorothy Irene Swan, 86, died in Florida on Christmas Day.

      Dorothy was born on May 11, 1925, to Frank and Alta Bisher in Hudson. She married Harry J. Swan who preceded her in death in 1978.

      Having been able to play the piano since she was a toddler, Dorothy loved to share her music with one and all. She also loved to dance. She enjoyed knitting and playing bingo. Dorothy had been an active member of the VFW and Moose Lodge.

      Survivors include her daughters, Marion (Bud) Rayle and Linda Gamber, or Englewood, Fla; her sons, Steven (Judi) Swan, of Traverse City, and Tom (Shirley) Swan of Whitehall; her grandchildren, Jan (jim) Schroth, Lori (Tom) Duggan, Bill (Jan) Ritola, Mark Gamber, Scott (Michelle) Jeffrey, Tim and Kyle Swan and Lindsay (Ryan) Szostek; Step-granddaughter Christine Salisbury and her son Eric; and her great-grandchildren, Bethany and Diane Schroth, Collin Duggan, Courtney and Chloe Gamer, Maxwell, Lila, Nicklas, Tessa, and Myles Swan.

      She was preceded in death by her husband Harry; her siblings; a son-in-law, Jerry Gamber; and two grandsons, Paul Gamber and Andrew Swan.

      Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
