- His Military records show he was a Sgt. in both Company C, 48th OVI, discharged 26 Nov, 1864 in Cincinnati, and Co. K, 1st U.S. Vet. Vol. discharged 7 Feb 1866 at Harpers Ferry, VA.
The pension file gives two dates for his marriage: 29 Nov 1867 (from William’s application) and 28 Nov 1867 (from Elizabeth’s application). They were married by Rev. De Mott, a methodist evangelist.
