IL 1930 Arkansas with James obituary Monticello Herald Jun. 1934 George Bishir, well-known resident of Momence, Illinois, and who formerly lived south of Monticello, passed away at his home in Momence Saturday June 16 at the age of 73 years 4 months and 9 days. Funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. Charles Bishir on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock,Rev. L.F. Zinser, a pastor of Grace Methodist Episcopal church, the officiating, followed by interment in the Momence Cemetery. The deceased was a son of Jeremiah and Melinda Bishir, and was born in White County Indiana, February 7, 1861, the youngest of a family of 21 children, all in whom have preceded him in death except James Bishir of Arkansas, and one sister Mrs. Jane Stoner of Oregon. On April 6, 1882, he was united in marriage to Mary Kane. To this union were born five sons and one daughter, of which, together with the wife and mother, one son Roy, of Danville, and a daughter, Mrs. Rose Elsworth of Chicago Heights, survive. Two sons, William and Charles, preceded him in death during the last six months. Mr. Bishir went to Momence 36 years ago and was employed by the C&E I railroad until failing health forced his retirement. He had been a member of Grace Methodist eat this couple church since February 12, 1911
