- In 1880, Francis M. Baldwin began using the name Frank M. Baldwin on census records. Frank married Emma J. Ledbetter by about 1887. Their first children were twins; a boy and a girl, named Hero B. and Hazel B. Baldwin, born in 1888. The next child was a daughter, Ferne A. Baldwin, then a son, Orville Grant. Their last three children were all girls, Merna Grace, Imogene and Marjorie.
Lived in Bloomington, Illinois in 1880.
On 19 Nov 1911 (Obit, McPherson Public Library, McPherson Opinion, Nov. 24, 1911) Frank passed away.

Beginning with the 1880 US Census, Francis M. Baldwin begins going by the name Frank M. Baldwin. At that time he is living in a boarding house with his other brothers, proving his proper identity as Francis M. Baldwin. He continues to use the name Frank M. Baldwin in the 1900 & 1910 Censuses.
On NFS, when searching for duplicates, a Francis M. Baldwin married a Mary E. Gerard, and had a chld named Grace Baldwin, B. 1878 in Illinois. Could this be a former marriage of Francis M. Baldwin? to be researched, JVM 15 Feb 2012. [3]
