I am wondering if [Samuel Bisher’s] parents might be Philip & Catharina Beischer as there is a baptism record from the Church Lutheran Church in Upper Mt. Bethel, Northampton County, Pennsylvania that lists a Samuel, born Sept 28, 1791 and baptized June 10, 1792. His parents are listed as Philip and Catharine Beischer and the sponsors were Felix Ludwig and Susanna Beischer. I know this birth date is off seven days from his birth date on his gravestone of Sept. 21, 1791 but it is certainly close. I do see in the 1860 and 1870 census he lists he was born in Pennsylvania.
Y-DNA evidence proves that George and Samuel Bisher are related. Could be brothers, however we don’t know the specific relationship. We have parked George here for convenience until more research is done on the family.
