      Miriam H. Whitehead, 86, of Xenia, passed away Sunday morning, August 28, 2011, at her residence.

      She was born January 18, 1925, in Martinsville, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Alta Allen Page.

      She was a member of the Xenia Friends Church. She is survived by her husband, Raymond D. Whitehead, whom she married, July 15, 1944, a daughter and son-in-law, Jane (David) Engle, Kettering, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Charles Ray Whitehead, by two sisters, Margaret Rothacker and Mary Winters, and by two brothers, Don Page and Robert Page. Miriam will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

      Services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Jackie Speicher officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30am Thursday, until service time.

      Burial will follow the service at the Friends Cemetery, Westboro, Ohio.
